INFANT LEARNING & MOTOR CONTROL

Infancy and childhood is a critical period in brain development. With a deeper understanding of the youngest brains, we hope to identify neurodevelopmental disabilities as early as possible and test interventions to optimize development. Among the areas we study:

  • MOTOR LEARNING, MOTOR CONTROL AND NEURODEVELOPMENT:
Understanding how infants and children learn and develop sensorimotor skills
  • EARLY IDENTIFICATION OF ATYPICAL DEVELOPMENT:
Early identification of infants and children with neurodevelopmental disabilities
  • OPTIMAL EARLY INTERVENTION STRATEGIES:
Designing and testing interventions to optimize neurodevelopmental outcomes, activity performance and socialization
