Dr. Butera has a background in psychology, education, neuroscience and occupational science. Grounded in principles of embodied cognition, she aims to bridge the gap between neuroscience evidence and early detection and rehabilitative movement interventions that promote well-being in pediatric neurodevelopmental disability and to work with communities, clinicians and policy makers to implement these interventions when they are most needed.
