PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS

Dr. Aimee Diaz is the clinic director of USC Physical Therapy (University Park Campus [UPC]), providing patient care to faculty, staff, students and community patients and overseeing physical therapy outreach services to multiple groups on the UPC campus. She is a board-certified sports physical therapist, treating patients with sports-related injuries, orthopedic disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation and functional return to sport. Her extensive experience includes Division I Athletics, extreme sports and the female athlete.

Dr. Diaz also treats women’s health-related disorders. She is a member of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. She is also an athletic trainer and is certified through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer.

Dr. Diaz is the director of the USC Sports Division I Physical Therapy Fellowship, collaborating with both USC and UCLA Athletic Departments at clinical sites. She was the director of the USC Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program from the inaugural year 2009 until 2024. In her role with the sports residency program, she provides physical therapy services to East L.A. College, assisting with preseason physicals. She also provides event sports medicine coverage with USC’s Club Sports.

Along with clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Diaz has been an invited speaker, panelist and presenter at local, state and national conferences.
