Liz Poppert blends academics, as a USC faculty member, and clinical work at her Santa Monica, Calif., private practice. She aims to educate students and practitioners of physical therapy to apply best evidence, biomechanics and principles of therapeutic exercise to maximize patient outcomes and physical performance. Her publications and continuing education focus on rehabilitative exercise programs especially for individuals with low back pain and running related injuries. She serves as faculty for the exercise related coursework in the DPT curriculum, mentors in the orthopedic residency program and guest lectures in clinical courses. She is certified as a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, ACSM Exercise Physiologist and United States Track and Field Level One Coach. She is avid recreational runner and enjoys training and competing with the Track Club of Los Angeles.
