Kyan got her clinical doctorate at the University of Saint Augustine. She began working with the pediatric population in Downtown Los Angeles and found herself interested in neurological impairments. This body-mind connection really inspired her to begin acute care and led her to City of Hope, where she began working in oncology physical therapy. Working at City of Hope prompted her to develop ideas and a desire to learn more and research.
Currently she is studying to receive her PhD in physical therapy at Loma Linda University and is working on an introductory paper for physical therapists incorporating psychoneuroimmunology into their practice.
