Motor Development Research

Motor Development research in the Division includes the following laboratory groups:

Motor Control Development Laboratory (MCDL)
Research Focus: Understanding of prenatal motor behavior, especially cyclic movements in utero, and its relationship to neonatal motor behavior and the development of normal movement

Oral Motor Neuroscience Laboratory (OMNL)
Research Focus: Studies focus on the developmental relationship between the brain and craniofacial region to discover the causes of pediatric feeding disorders.

Development of Infant Motor Performance Laboratory (DIMPL)
Research Focus: The development of both typical and atypical human action during infancy and rehabilitation of movement disorders in infants and children
