Professional Interests
Alaa is a first year PhD student in the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California under the supervision of Dr. Beth Fisher. She studied Physical Therapy at King Saud University (KSU)in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy. Then, she majored in Rehabilitation Science and obtained her Master of Sciences degree in Neuromuscular Rehabilitation with one year of experience conducting human research at UPMC at University of Pittsburgh. Since 2011 until now, Alaa is a faculty member at KSU College of Applied Medical Science in Physical Therapy Department. She is interested in understanding brain-behavior relationship in patients post stroke after motor learning acquisition using TMS and Neuroimaging.
