  • Admissions Requirements
    The application process for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program involves the following two components:

    1. Submission to the Division of the required documents.

    2. Once all the required documents have been received and reviewed, selected applicants will be scheduled for a formal interview with the residency faculty.

    Prerequisites
    Graduates of APTA-accredited programs in Physical Therapy may apply for the program. Residents must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California prior to beginning the residency program. A current CPR certification is required. New graduates may apply but will need to have their California PT license prior to beginning the program in August.

    Desirable Qualities
    Desirable qualities in an applicant include a strong desire to advance clinical knowledge, skills and abilities; demonstrated clinical aptitude and/or potential; strong communication skills; and evidence of initiative and self-responsibility. Recent graduates, as well as experienced clinicians, are encouraged to apply.

    The deadline for receipt of all required documents is February 1st of each year.
    If the applicant qualifies for an interview, these will be conducted in early Spring.
    Decision Notification: Applicants will be notified of the admissions committee’s decision by mid-May
