The Development of Infant Motor Performance Laboratory (DIMPL) is dedicated to the study of the development of human action during infancy and early childhood and to the rehabilitation of action for infants and children.
Learning to Act
We seek to understand the process of infant motor learning with particular interest in the role of exploration in this early learning. Infants are naturally curious and our intervention research utilizes this natural and exciting process. We have a number of ongoing studies in the lab.
