Parkinsons Disease

  •  Dexterity in Neuropathologies

This study is about how Parkinson’s Disease affects people’s ability to handle and manipulate objects with their hands. We hope to learn how changes in the brain affect hand function so that we can screen for Parkinson’s Disease and diagnose it sooner. We will collect data from participants with and without Parkinson’s Disease.

You may be eligible if you:

    • Are at least 21 years old
    • Have no individual or family history of Parkinson’s Disease (Group 1)
    • Have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (Groups 2 and 3)

If you agree to participate, the testing will take between 2-3 hours. We will ask you to respond to a few questions on a questionnaire, undergo a neurological evaluation, and complete some manual tasks with your hand and fingers.
